PACKERS VS EAGLES

Venue: Lambeau Field | Start: 10:20am AEST

All of a sudden, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and first-year coach Matt LaFleur are in lockstep — at least in the first half. Green Bay bolted ahead of the Denver Broncos in Week 3 after blasting ahead of the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2. Rodgers looks comfortable, confident and in control in his first season in a new system for more than a decade. That could be woeful news for the Philadelphia Eagles. Top cover cornerback Ronald Darby is hurting and unlikely to play Thursday, leaving the Eagles likely to play some zone and use heavy blitz schemes with a boom-or-bust result likely against Rodgers. Green Bay’s running game is also going well after three games and a split between Jamaal Williams and Aaron Jones. But the Packers’ run defense has been a weak link, and the Eagles are certain to set rookie Miles Sanders and Jordan Howard — a known talent to the Packers who began his career with the Chicago Bears — loose in coach Doug Pederson’s RPO-reliant ground game.

Win: Green Bay
Margin: Green Bay 1-13
Line: Philadelphia +4.5
Total Points: Over 45.5
