Tottenham vs Bayern

Venue: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium | Start: 05:00

Tottenham: A middling start to the season sees Spurs just outside the top 4 on 11 points. They’ve looked good in patches this season, managing a resilient home win at Southampton last time out. Their front three still causes problems for almost any opposition, with Kane, Eriksen, and Son forming a dynamic trio. They shared the spoils with Olympiakos on match day 1, meaning a result here is imperative.

Bayern Munich: Bayern find themselves top of the Bundesliga after 6 games with 14 points. They are undefeated so far and boast a league best +13-goal difference. They had a scare against Paderborn last time out, although goals from Coutinho and Lewandowski sealed the deal. They’re atop this group after a comfortable 3-0 win over Crvena in match week 1.

Betting Analysis: Although Bayern are strong favourites here, I think these two sides are relatively evenly matched. Spurs have had a strong home field advantage under Pochettino and Bayern have struggled in Europe of late. Ultimately, I think $3.60 for a draw represents excellent value, with 1-1 being the most likely scoreline. I can see both sides getting on the scoresheet here, and I like under 2.5 goals for the potential middle opportunity.

Juventus vs Leverkusen

Venue: Allianz | Start: 05:00

Juventus: It hasn’t been the perfect start for Sarri’s Juventus, currently in 2nd place on 16 points. They’ve still been a solid side overall, but a goalless draw with Fiorentina looms large. Cristiano Ronaldo still looms as the main threat going forward, scoring again in their 2-0 win last time out. They had a 2-0 lead against Athletico in match day 1, ultimately settling for a road point.

Leverkusen: Leverkusen have gotten off to a decent start domestically, collecting 13 points from 6 league games. They’ve managed consecutive wins in the Bundesliga, including a 3-0 victory over Augsburg last time out. Kevin Volland is a big threat on the wing and should provide a strong outlet going forward. They’re currently at the bottom of the group after a 2-1 defeat to Lokomotiv Moscow in match 1.

Betting Analysis: Regardless of whatever rotation goes on here, Juventus have a very deep squad that should win this one comfortably. They can’t afford not to take all 3 points here and I expect a very motivated effort. I think the outright price of $1.55 is fair value, with $2.60 for Juventus -1 looking like an excellent bet. Still a very strong defensive side, I think they win this to nil, which could be another market to look out for.

Real Madrid vs Club Brugge

Venue: Santiago Bernabeu | Start: 02:55

Real Madrid: Real Madrid have had a decent start to their league campaign, sitting in 1st place with 15 points so far. They looked the better side in the Madrid derby, ultimately securing a 0-0 draw away from home. Their Champions League campaign couldn’t have started worse, taking a 3-0 hiding against PSG last time out. This side still has the bulk of it’s 3-peat core, with new additions like Hazard and Jovic improving them further.

Club Brugge: Brugge are also atop their domestic league, putting up 20 points through 8 league games. They’re undefeated so far and boast an impressive +18-goal difference. They looked especially impressive last time out, managing a 5-0 win against mid-table Mechelen. Their Champions League start was decent, securing a point at home to Galatasaray.

Betting Analysis: Especially after suffering a loss last time out, I think Madrid will be really motivated here. Playing in the Belgian Pro League, Brugge just don’t come up against anyone of this quality. The $1.25 on offer for Madrid to win looks fairly appealing, with 2-0 my projected scoreline. On the totals side, I like under 2.5 goals and ‘no’ in the BTTS market.

Half-time/Full-time: Madrid/Madrid
Over/Under 2.5: Under 2.5

Galatasaray vs Paris Saint-Germain

Venue: | Start: 05:00

Galatasaray: It hasn’t been a great start to the season for Galatasaray, who sit 7th in the Turkish Super Lig with 9 points. They are winless in their last 3 overall matches, drawing 0-0 with Fenerbahce last time out. They opened their Champions League campaign with a goalless draw at Brugge, a game that was relatively even statistically.

PSG: PSG are currently atop Ligue 1 with 18 points through 8 games so far. They’ve looked impressive in their 6 wins, although 2 losses show they’re vulnerable against the right opponent. They outclassed Bordeaux in a 1-0 win last time out, a Neymar strike proving the difference. Their UCL campaign opened in spectacular fashion, a dominant 3-0 win at home against Real Madrid.

Betting Analysis: PSG did the hard work by beating Real Madrid in round 1 and they don’t want to undo that here. Even without Cavani and Mbappe, they’ve got more than enough talent to win this one comfortably. I like them to win this one 3-1 at $10, with the handicap draw also looking solid. It should be a high-scoring affair here, meaning over 2.5 and BTTS are both good additional plays.
