BRONCOS VS CHIEFS

Venue: Empower Field at Mile High | Start: 11:20am AEDT

At 2-4, the Denver Broncos could go from a revival story to the scrap heap quickly in a primetime opportunity against the Kansas City Chiefs. Now looking mortal coming off back-to-back losses, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are accustomed to tight games with Denver, including two games decided by 11 total points last season. Mahomes juked the Chiefs to a win at Denver in 2018, and Kansas City knows the Broncos will struggle to keep pace with an offense that ranks 25th in the league in points. Denver found its footing thanks to a stout defense that pitched a shutout last week and has emerged as the dynamic group most expected when Vic Fangio was named head coach. Stuffing the run has been a major asset for the group, but the Chiefs are all too familiar with the outside pass rush. Quarterback Joe Flacco has done more of a game-manager act than anything at the helm of this offense, but might be working with a limited lead receiver after Emmanuel Sanders left last week’s game early. The Broncos do expect Sanders to play, and have seen signs of a breakout from Phillip Lindsay, who had 75 total yards and a score last week.

Win: Kansas City
Margin: Kansas City 1-13
Line: Kansas City -3
Total Points: Under 49
