Wayne Bennett has made three changes to his provisional Great Britain Lions line-up for the first Test against New Zealand.
The Lions lost centre Oliver Gildart (shoulder) and prop Luke Thompson (rib) to injury in the 14-6 loss to a Tonga Invitational XIII on Saturday, with Jake Connor and Tom Burgess drafted in for this weekend’s clash in Auckland.
Lachlan Coote has also been replaced by St Helens team-mate Jonny Lomax at full-back.
Meanwhile, Warrington Wolves forward Joe Philbin is in line to make his debut from the bench after being called up.
Opponents New Zealand have opted to recall Kieran Foran – who has not appeared for his country in over two years – as Shaun Johnson drops out of the reckoning, while Joseph Tapine is back after being suspended for Friday’s defeat to Australia.
Adam Blair will bring up a milestone 50th Test appearance for the hosts.
