BROWNS VS STEELERS
Venue: FirstEnergy Stadium | Start: 12:20pm AEDT
Mason Rudolph and the Pittsburgh Steelers were left for dead when Ben Roethlisberger went down for the season with an elbow injury. But a resurrected defense, which includes cornerback Minkah Fitzpatrick, has the Steelers thinking playoffs yet again. Now 5-4 and with Fitzpatrick, acquired from the Jacksonville Jaguars, helping bolster Pittsburgh to top-10 defensive status, the Steelers are out to avoid losing to the Browns for the first time since Oct. 2014. Running back James Conner (shoulder) is expected back after missing two games. The balance on offense will be welcomed, considering the Browns are showing a bit of life on the defensive side of the ball as well. Cleveland is 3-6 and desperately needs to stockpile victories with the Steelers on a short week and five games in a row — two vs. Pittsburgh — against teams with no better than five wins this season. The Dolphins and winless Bengals are included in that group. There’s still no flow to the offense, which is averaging only 19 points per game.
