MAVERICKS VS CLIPPERS
Venue: American Airlines Center | Start: 12:30pm AEDT
Two of the new contenders for the Western Conference throne will meet Tuesday finally matching the vision of how they were constructed. The Clippers are unbeaten in three games with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George finally playing side by side. Led by Luka Doncic, the Mavericks have been even more of a handful of late as Tim Hardaway Jr. gets stronger after surgery last spring because of a hairline fracture in his leg. Doncic has averaged 30.6 points this season, Hardaway is scoring 22.3 points over his last three and Kristaps Porzingis has a double-double in five of his last six games. The Mavericks are among the leaders in the NBA scoring 119.1 points per game this season. George is scoring 25.0 points in his first six games with the Clippers, while Leonard has added 22.3 in the three games since he returned from a sore knee, just under his 25.7 average for the season. The Clippers’ second unit is also doing its part with Montrezl Harrell scoring 34 points Sunday against the New Orleans Pelicans, while Lou Williams has scored 22.5 per game. Both teams have won five consecutive games, with the Clippers’ five all coming at home. Los Angeles is just 1-4 on the road this season. The Mavericks are 6-3 at home.
Win: Los Angeles Clippers

NUGGETS VS WIZARDS
Venue: Pepsi Center | Start: 1:00pm AEDT
The Denver Nuggets will strut into a home game against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday carrying a five-game winning streak with them. A stretch where they have played seven of nine at home as been kind to the Nuggets as they have gone 8-1. The well-rounded Nuggets had four different leading scorers over their past six games with Jamal Murray scoring 18.9 per game this season, while Nikola Jokic is scoring 16.7 with 9.7 rebounds. The Nuggets will enter off a 116-104 victory over the Phoenix Suns when Will Barton scored 12 of his 22 points in a decisive third quarter. The Nuggets are 7-2 at home. Since scoring 44 points in back-to-back games, the Wizards’ Bradley Beal has seen his scoring output decline gradually in each of his last four contests as the Wizards have gone 2-2 in that stretch. Beal has scored 34, 33, 30 and 20 points in consecutive games, with the Wizards coming off a 113-106 defeat at home to the Sacramento Kings on Sunday. Beal has scored 29.6 points per game this season while also adding 7.1 assists. Washington is starting a four-game western swing that will also take the team to Phoenix before back-to-back games in Los Angeles against the Lakers and Clippers in that order.
