BEARS VS COWBOYS

Venue: Soldier Field | Start: 12:20pm AEDT

Thursday football has been good to Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys, but last week’s Thanksgiving Day clunker set the team back in a bid to win the NFC East. Fortunately for Dallas, the Philadelphia Eagles followed suit and lost to the Miami Dolphins to keep the division cushion comfortable for the Cowboys. Prescott leads the NFL with 3,788 pass yards through the first 13 weeks of the 2019 season. In seven career starts on Thursday, Prescott has 11 total touchdowns (nine passing, two rushing) and a 100.2 passer rating. But the Bears also have to contend with running back Ezekiel Elliott, who ranks third in the NFC with 1,316 yards from scrimmage this season. The Bears bring an identical 6-6 record to the primetime affair after outlasting the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving. Chicago’s defense remains the team’s calling card as quarterback Mitchell Trubisky and the offense of Matt Nagy have failed to establish an identity. Trubisky passed for a season-high 338 yards with three touchdowns and one interception at Detroit, and has a chance to keep the momentum rolling against Dallas’ average secondary.
