Eli Manning returns to the starting lineup and finds a familiar foe waiting the Philadelphia Eagles. While the Eagles are still in the mix for the NFC East division title thanks to the ongoing misfortune of the Dallas Cowboys, Manning is back in the fold as quarterback of the New York Giants because of an ankle injury to rookie Daniel Jones. Jones was labeled “very unlikely” to play Friday by head coach Pat Shurmur who promised Manning was ready to get back at it against Philadelphia. The Giants need not scroll back all that far to find a winning blueprint with a pocket-anchored quarterback at the helm. The Miami Dolphins pulled the upset last week using a similar approach. Manning, a two-time Super Bowl winner, is in his 16th season with the Giants, and it is expected to be his last. The 38-year-old has thrown for 56,537 yards, 362 touchdowns and 241 interceptions during his tenure. This season, he passed for 556 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions before being replaced by Jones after Week 2. The Eagles
