Pete Carroll is 5-0 against the Eagles as head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, but this isn’t a trip the team wanted to make considering the final sequence against the San Francisco 49ers last week. The trek to Philadelphia might not appear as menacing when Carroll and Company get a final peek at the injury toll for the Eagles, who are expected to be without seven players who started at least one game this season. Injuries are a theme for the visitors as well. Safety Quandre Diggs’ return from an ankle injury would be more than welcomed by Seattle. Diggs could be critical in defending the run-pass option calls that have made Carson Wentz lethal down the stretch. Wentz, making his playoff debut due to injuries in previous seasons, has taken care of the ball and made the most of his supporting cast, including rookie running back Miles Sanders. The Seahawks are trying to piece together a semblance of a running game with Marshawn Lynch beckoned from retirement. That will be a necessity to keep Eagles defensive coordinator from going blitz-heavy to get the ball out of Russell Wilson’s hands.

Win: Seattle Seahawks
Line: Philadelphia Eagles +1.5

The last playoff game between these teams was memorable, especially for Stefon Diggs, who caught the Minnesota Miracle touchdown pass from Case Keenum and went the distance for a walk-off winner that put the Vikings in the NFC Championship game. Drew Brees played in that game and with the seventh-ranked passing offense in the league, gives the Saints an edge despite Minnesota’s toothy pass rush. Brees has two critical weapons in the passing game that could cause problems for the Vikings in wide receiver Michael Thomas and tight end Jared Cook. The Vikings have struggled to defend top tight ends under Mike Zimmer and Cook has evolved into an integral component of the offense. Thomas set the NFL record for receptions in 2019 and is difficult to double team because he will line up all across the formation. Minnesota gets running back Dalvin Cook back in the lineup fresh, and will attack with a run-first approach until the score dictates otherwise. But Kirk Cousins has performed well the past two months, setting up a chance to prove he’s deserving of his massive contract after a string of big-game failures.

Win: New Orleans Saints
Line: Minnesota Vikings +8.5
Total Points: Over 50.5
