Veteran forward Marvin Williams was waived by the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday and is planning to sign with the Milwaukee Bucks, according to multiple reports.
To make room on their roster, the Bucks will reportedly waive forward Dragan Bender, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Williams, 33, is in his 15th NBA season and has spent his last six years with the Hornets. He also played seven seasons for the Atlanta Hawks (2005-12) and two with the Utah Jazz (2012-14). Williams was the second overall pick by the Hawks in the 2005 NBA Draft out of North Carolina.
He is averaging 6.7 points and 2.7 rebounds in 19.7 minutes per game this season for the Hornets.
Bender, 22, is in his fourth season in the league and was signed as a free agent last summer by the Bucks. He has played in just seven games for Milwaukee this season and spent most of his time with the Wisconsin Herd of the G-League.
