Randwick Race 1 Tips | 11:30 AM | 1300m

Top Tip – NOT AN OPTION (1)

Jockey: James McDonald | Trainer: Richard & Michael Freedman

Former Kiwi back in distance and class after a good effort in Gr1 Champagne Randwick when blocked up the straight and unplaced. Has a better draw here and gets a chance to get that first win in Australia.

Place Tip – OVERLORD (7)

Jockey: Hugh Bowman | Trainer: Chris Waller

Was doing its best work late when placed Randwick May 9. Stepping up to 1300m which should suit. Nicely drawn and still on the up. Has Bowman to help and sure to give it a shake

Jockey: Brenton Avdulla | Trainer: Kris Lees

Was well supported on its winning debut at Newcastle May 9. Did it in good time. Clearly tougher here but has the draw to get the gun run and extra distance here likely to suit.

Randwick Race 2 Tips | 12:05 PM | 1000m

Top Tip – TEJORI (3)

Jockey: Kerrin McEvoy | Trainer: Nick Olive

Has won three of four starts with its lone flop being on a heavy track. Two good wins since coming back from a long break including at Randwick. Has the early speed to settle up close and getting a most suitable field.

Place Tip – TALLIS (8)

Jockey: Brenton Avdulla | Trainer: Colt Prosser

First up here. Has won fresh and both its wins have been at this trip. Drawn to hold the lead and has acquitted itself well in town without winning in the past. Gets a chance to sneak away with one here.

Place Tip – BISCARA (15)

Jockey: Jason Collett | Trainer: Matthew Dale

Former Hayes, Hayes, Dabernig trained galloper with Matthew Dale. Sneaks into the field here. Is a Morphettville winner and fitter for recent racing. Can settle up in a prominent position early. Value bet.

Randwick Race 3 Tips | 12:40 PM | 2000m

Top Tip – STOCKMAN (8)

Jockey: Sam Clipperton | Trainer: Joseph Pride

Scored a last to first win at Wyong 1600m May 14 when really good the last 100m. Up to 2000m and bred to run it out strongly. Handles wet and dry ground and can take it late.

Place Tip – JUST SOCIETY (9)

Jockey: Glen Boss | Trainer: John O’Shea

Was closing late when unplaced May 6, Canterbury, after drawing wide. Better alley here can see it settle up closer and bred to get the 2000m on the dam’s side. Good chance at odds.

Place Tip – REINVEST (5)

Jockey: Hugh Bowman | Trainer: Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott

Comes into town undefeated and rising quickly up 2000m. Long odds on when a narrow winner Apr 30 Wyong when upon the speed. Time wasn’t great and just got there but gun draw and hoop aboard and handles wet ground.

Randwick Race 4 Tips | 1:15 PM | 2000m

Jockey: James McDonald | Trainer: Chris Waller

Didn’t get much room late when May 2 Kensington in a race won by a stablemate. Hit the line well. Hasn’t had many starts and one who is still on the up. Top trainer and jockey combination.

Place Tip – CANASTA (3)

Jockey: Glen Boss | Trainer: Bjorn Baker

A front runner who won’t have to do much early work from barrier one here to take up a good position early. Not a great deal of speed in the race and Boss may be able to dictate. Can run a cheeky race

Place Tip – LORD GODODDIN (10)

Jockey: Hugh Bowman | Trainer: Chris Waller

Got a long way back but made ground late along the fence Canterbury May 6 getting into midfield late. Fitter for two runs from a break and may be able to settle closer in this field. Value bet.

Randwick Race 5 Tips | 1:55 PM | 1100m

Top Tip – CORUSCATE (3)

Jockey: Kerrin McEvoy | Trainer: James Cummings

Is back from Melbourne where it acquitted itself well including a Listed race placing. Handles wet and dry ground. Can settle off the speed but not too far away in this small field and finish off hard.

Place Tip – SOUTHERN LAD (5)

Jockey: James McDonald | Trainer: John O’Shea

Was very good first-up when a closing second Wagga April 30 giving away too big a start. Second, up record is not great but likes Randwick, this trip and getting a suitable field. One of the better hopes for sure.

Place Tip – PASSAGE OF TIME (1)

Jockey: Sam Clipperton | Trainer: Joseph Pride

Resuming. Likely to settle back and yet to win under 1200m but has a good first-up record and likes Randwick. Coming off black-type races and certain to be doing its best late.

Randwick Race 6 Tips | 2:30 PM | 1500m

Top Tip – OPACITY (8)

Jockey: Hugh Bowman | Trainer: John O’Shea

Was first up when dragged back from a widish draw and finished on well though never a winning threat Randwick May 9. Goes better second up and can settle closer from the inner barrier. And Bowman happy to stick with it.

Place Tip – MISS EINSTEIN (10)

Jockey: Jason Collett | Trainer: Bjorn Baker

Looked a winning chance in a three-way finish when chopped out near the line Randwick May 9 after settling back. Likely to get back in the field again but is one on the up and capable of making amends.

Place Tip – ABOVE AND BEYOND (1)

Jockey: Robbie Dolan (a1.5) | Trainer: Gary Portelli

Was caught wide and moved up at the turn and stuck on quite well Rosehill April 25. Drawn to get a nice smother along the fence here and apprentice claim brings it right into calculations at odds

Randwick Race 7 Tips | 3:10 PM | 1000m

Top Tip – ENFLEURAGE (2)

Jockey: Hugh Bowman | Trainer: James Cummings

Resuming. Has worked up a consistent record and is a first-up winner. Will need to work early from the wide draw and there is some speed in this but is one on the up and can get the job done here.

Place Tip – SWITCHED (13)

Jockey: Rachel King | Trainer: Brad Widdup

Resuming. Three-year-old who is undefeated first-up and missed a place just once in eight starts. Can settle behind the leaders from this good draw and unleash late. Can take this.

Place Tip – NOVEMBER MAN (7)

Jockey: Jean Van Overmeire (a1.5) | Trainer: Anthony Cummings

Never a threat to the winner when ran on well after being crowded for room early in the straight when first-up at Kensington May 2. Is a second up winner and can benefit if they go too fast in front.

Randwick Race 8 Tips | 3:50 PM | 1400m

Jockey: Kerrin McEvoy | Trainer: Kris Lees

Has been freshened up after some very good efforts in Group company. Likely to get back in the field and work home well. Doesn’t want the ground too wet. Can take it late.

Place Tip – REDOUBLE (1)

Jockey: James McDonald | Trainer: Bjorn Baker

Worked home strongly to place first up in the Takeover Target 1200m May 9 Randwick. Not a great second-up record but certainly likes 1400m best and gets the services of McDonald.

Place Tip – MATOWI (5)

Jockey: Glen Boss | Trainer: Chris Waller

Has been freshened up. Settled back and a powerful win Randwick Feb 15. Very good Randwick record. Ideally wants further but drawn to get a smother well-drawn and get into it late, Value bet.

Randwick Race 9 Tips | 4:30 PM | 1200m

Top Tip – SAKURA (7)

Jockey: Hugh Bowman | Trainer: James Cummings

Didn’t do much wrong when simply outsprinted late Kensington May 2 1300m. Better suited back to 1200m. Likely to settle back from the wide draw and finish on strongly.

Place Tip – MISTEED (6)

Jockey: Kerrin McEvoy | Trainer: Peter and Paul Snowden

Better signs when worked home to place Randwick May 9. Tends to race well at this track and doesn’t mind the sting out of the ground. Certainly, a chance at odds if its wet enough

Place Tip – ST COVET’S SPIRIT (9)

Jockey: Jason Collett | Trainer: Jason Coyle

Dragged back early and finished hard late when placed Rosehill Apr 25. Likely to get back in the field here and drop to 1200m is not ideal but field definitely suits, Look for it late.
