NRL Week 3 Same Game Multi Tips

Brisbane Broncos v Parramatta Eels

Parramatta head north of the border to Suncorp Stadium for the first match-up between the teams since their finals clash last year. The Broncos have their first opportunity to exact revenge for their 58-0 thrashing at the hands of the Eels in the playoffs. The Broncos score 45% of their tries on the right side with 29% up the middle of the field. The Eels are split with 40% of their tries scored down the left and right of the field in attack. In defence, the Broncos let 44% of their tries in on the right side while the Eels let in 41% of their tries in also down the right side of the field. Katoni Staggs is the top try scorer for the competition this year so far with 4 tries to his name. He is also leading the linebreaks in attack as well. We are confident he should score at least one try this weekend.

Head to Head: Brisbane Broncos
Win Margin: Brisbane Broncos 1 to 12
Line: Brisbane Broncos (-1.5)
Anytime Tryscorer: Kotoni Staggs
Total Points: Under (+40.5)

5 Leg Same Game Multi Odds: $13.11 – Sportsbet

Nth Queensland Cowboys v Gold Coast Titans

The Gold Coast Titans travel north for this all Queensland clash on Friday night against the North Queensland Cowboys. The stats data is telling us that the Cowboys are the most likely to win but after a long break and some key players yet to return from injury, chances are that it may not be a clinical performance from the Cowboys. The Cowboys score 46% of their tries down the right side while the titans let in around 40% of tries on both the left side. We think this will be a 13+ win for the Cowboys with the Gold Coast Titans not performing well during the first two opening rounds of this season. Bit of a mixed bag in the first two rounds from the Cowboys but we are looking at their young halves to direct the team around and keep the structure for the full 80 minutes. The young roster at the Titans has a lot of work to do to make them competitive in this game and for the rest of the season.

Head to Head: Nth Queensland Cowboys
Win Margin: Nth Queensland Cowboys 13+
Line: Nth Queensland Cowboys (-7.5)
Anytime Tryscorer: Kyle Feldt
Total Points: Under (+41.5)

Sydney Roosters v South Sydney Rabbitohs

Big game for Friday night with the Roosters taking on the Rabbitohs in the longest rivalry in the NRL. Roosters had a slow start in the first two rounds and they let a lot of points in around the ruck and had some holes in their defence. The Rabbitohs have had a lot of drama this year and during the break. The key for this game for the Rabbitohs is their forward back. If they can match the Roosters pack they can put some pressure on the Roosters. We think this game will blow out with the Roosters putting plenty of points on the Rabbitohs. We hear it has been unsettled at the Rabbitohs with the off-field dramas and changed to the team. Expect the Roosters to win and win well. That being said, Wayne Bennett has won four of his past five games against the Roosters.

Head to Head: Sydney Roosters
Win Margin: Sydney Roosters 13+
Line: Sydney Roosters (-7.5)
Anytime Tryscorer: Daniel Tupou
Anytime Tryscorer: James Tedesco
Total Points: Over (+39.5)

6 Leg Same Game Multi Odds: $7.50 – Sportsbet

New Zealand Warriors v St George Illawarra Dragons

The Warriors have made the NRL comeback possible by relocating to Australia full time to play out the season. This will galvanize them or they will be horrendous but what is new about that? They can blow the top teams away one week then get pumped by the wooden spooners the following week. We think they will be ready to go for this game but unsure about maintaining that for the whole season. Dragons are easily distracted and inconsistent. They need to start to show they can play good consistent footy each week. We think the dragons lineup is better this week while the warriors have a depleted roster in the middle of the field. This is a tough game to pick so be cautious betting on this game.

Head to Head: St George Illawarra Dragons
Win Margin: St George Illawarra Dragons 1 to 12
Line: St George Illawarra Dragons (-3.5)
Anytime Tryscorer: Jordan Pereira
Total Points: Under (+40.5)

5 Leg Same Game Multi Odds: $14.50 – Sportsbet

Cronulla Sharks v Wests Tigers

Both teams are playing a new-look line up when they re-start the season in round three. There has been a lot of drama with the sharks this week with one of their young players in trouble over a positive drug test. Chad Townsend busted his finger at training this week so he will carry that injury into this game. The Tigers get back Moses Mbye and Luke Brooks to complement Benji Marshall in attack. The West Tigers have a lot of player positions movements for this game and in key positions. We think the Sharks will get this one done in a close one even though they have had a lot of distractions this week.

Head to Head: Cronulla Sharks
Win Margin: Cronulla Sharks 1 to 12
Line: Cronulla Sharks (-1.5)
Anytime Tryscorer: Josh Dugan
Total Points: Over (+38.5)

5 Leg Same Game Multi Odds: $12.50 – Sportsbet

Melbourne Storm v Canberra Raiders

Big game! Two premiership contenders go at it with Canberra looking impressive in the first two rounds and will be close to full strength for this week. Melbourne was strong in their first-round game but the round 2 match against the Sharks was horrible. They were lucky to win but it was a very wet night. Canberra has a pretty good record in Melbourne with two wins at AAMI Park last season. This will be a fantastic game and we think Melbourne will get it in a close one. But this game could go either way so bet with caution. We think there will be enough tries to cover the total points over.

Head to Head: Melbourne Storm
Win Margin: Melbourne Storm 1 to 12
Line: Melbourne Storm (-2.5)
Anytime Tryscorer: Josh Addo-Carr
Anytime Tryscorer: Jarrod Croker
Total Points: Over (+37.5)

6 Leg Same Game Multi Odds: $36 – Sportsbet

Penrith Panthers v Newcastle Knights

Both teams are undefeated in the first two rounds of the NRL competition this season. The Panthers upset the Roosters and Dragons. The Knights also pumped the Warriors and West Tigers in the opening rounds and looked very good. Nathan Cleary is out and they have made a few positional changes in the forwards. The Knight squad is solid and think they will be able to take advantage of the lack of experience in the halves with Penrith.

Head to Head: Newcastle Knights
Win Margin: Newcastle Knights 1 to 12
Line: Newcastle Knights (+2.5)
Anytime Tryscorer: Edrick Lee
Anytime Tryscorer: Brian To’o
Total Points: Over (+42.5)

6 Leg Same Game Multi Odds: $20.25 – Sportsbet

Manly Sea Eagles v Canterbury Bulldogs

Manly had a mixed bag of results for the opening two rounds with a disappointing loss to the Storm but bounced back to upset the Roosters in round 2. Canterbury started slow going down to the Eels and Cowboys but their defence has been pretty solid. The attack is their problem with no real play makers to lead the team around the park. The Manly team should win this by 13+ points but it will be a tight match first 25-30 minutes with some big defence from both sides.

Head to Head: Manly Sea Eagles
Win Margin: Manly Sea Eagles 13+
Line: Manly Sea Eagles (-8.5)
Anytime Tryscorer: Tom Trbojevic
Anytime Tryscorer: Reuben Garrick
Total Points: Over (+38.5)
