Belmont Race 1 Tips | 11:58 AM | 1000m

Top Tip – TAJMALI

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Peter Fernie

Hails from Kalgoorlie but comes to town with the right form and William Pike’s booking guarantees she will have plenty of admirers. Chasing hat-trick after successive Kalgoorlie 1200m victories March 25 and May 10. Should get soft run.

Place Tip – POSITION OF POWER

Jockey: Paul Harvey | Trainer: David Harrison

Looks nicely placed here and has raced in tougher company with good results. Has Ascot and Belmont wins to recommend and went OK when second in Lark Hill trial 1100m recently. Has nice alley and Paul Harvey has won on him a few times.

Top 4 Tip – CABALLING

Jockey: Jade McNaught | Trainer: Robert & Todd Harvey

Has the ability to win this without surprising. Won three straight late last year before resuming with 5th to River Beau Ascot 1000m March 24 when second on the turn. Has had a minor setback but hard to beat on best form.

Belmont Race 2 Tips | 12:37 PM | 1000m

Top Tip – CONDOR HEROES

Jockey: Shaun McGrudy | Trainer: Chris Gangemi

Has hit a purple patch and is a great chance of making it three straight if he leads. Scooted along in front to win Ascot 1000m May 2 after all-the-way victory same course previous start. If flying at the moment.

Place Tip – FIRE AND RAIN

Jockey: Craig Staples | Trainer: Paul Jordan

Much fitter for first up 8th to Speeding Comment beaten just over 4 lens when did little in the straight. Prefer to go on Ascot 1000m win in January when assessing chances here. Has ability on his day.

Top 4 Tip – GUNS OF NAVARONE

Jockey: Brad Parnham | Trainer: Neville Parnham

Freshened up since comfortable win Ascot and seems to like having his runs spaced out. Racing very consistently and 39-day break will have him ready to sprint well here.

Belmont Race 3 Tips | 1:17 PM | 1000m

Top Tip – DUNBAR

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Trainer Grant & Alana Williams

Looks full of promise and while he didn’t streak away in his maiden win at Pinjarra as a short-priced favourite he looked very professional in the manner in which he won. Has a good draw here and the services of the leading jockey. Hold to hold out in the straight.

Place Tip – LONG MAY YOU RUN

Jockey: Jarrad Noske | Trainer: Trevor Andrews

Drawn to get the gun run and followed two barrier trial wins at Belmont over 850m and 1000m produced a very nice second to Chantorque in Ascott 1000m on May 13. Could lead or sit just off the pace from this barrier.

Top 4 Tip – CHANTORQUE

Jockey: Shaun Mcgruddy | Trainer: Russell Stewart

Encouraging debut raced just off the speed and boxed on; won by 1.8 lengths Ascot 2yo (Rs0mw) May 13 over 1000m defeating Long May You Run with 55kg at $5.50. Can’t knock debut win and while drawn out this time is right in this.

Belmont Race 4 Tips | 1:57 PM | 1200m

Top Tip – WINDSTORM

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Grant & Alana Williams

Some big raps on this three-year-old Redoubt’s Choice gelding who has created quite an impression In his two visits to the track to day. Disposed of Boomtastic on debut Belmont 1200m last August and stylish 1200m victor beating Rewrite the Stars Ascott 1200m last October before being injured. Looks too good for these.

Place Tip – AMELIA’S CONTRAIRE

Jockey: Chris Parnham | Trainer: Simon Miller

Like this distance (2 from 3) and has won this course also. Sound effort when 3rd to We’ve got Dreams Ascot 1000m May 15 but Pike has jumped off to ride WINDSTORM here. Will give an honest account of herself.

Top 4 Tip – MOOD SWINGS

Jockey: Jordan Turner | Trainer: George Dupre

Ultra-consistent with a win and three placings last four starts to recommend. Looked good in beating Hariasa Bunbury 1000m Mdn on April 3 and back it up with a nice second to Miss Frost Ascot 1000m May 16. Can place again.

Belmont Race 5 Tips | 2:34 PM | 1200m

Top Tip – SHERPA LASS

Jockey: Chris Parnham | Trainer: Daniel Morton

Won three on the trot Ascot earlier this year and should be ready to show improvement here. Can do a lot better than last start 6th of 10 to Flower of Scotland Pinjarra 1200m May 20. Won 4 of his six career starts so he has to be respected.

Place Tip – MISS FROST

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Luke Fernie

Two wins past three starts but the biggest concern here could be an awkward barrier. Proved too strong final 100m for Mood Swings and Stirling Estate Ascot 1000m May 16. Extra 200m no worries and will be hard to hold off if Pike can find some cover.

Top 4 Tip – DOUBLE BUBBLE

Jockey: Shaun McGrudy | Trainer: Simon Miller

Solid effort when resuming and race outside to leader to beat Massimo and Black Ducati Ascot 1200m May 9. Good second to Vega Magic previous start Belmont 1000m April 28. That form puts him in this.

Belmont Race 6 Tips | 3:10 PM | 1600m

Top Tip – COSTA DEL SANTO

Jockey: Mitchell Pateman | Trainer: Ms J Panizza

Has a liking for soft tracks and was easy winner Pinjarra Park 1400m on May 7 beating Staralign before second to Firesale (Lil’ Red Bikini 3rd) Pinjarra 1500m on May 20. Form looks good for this type of race.

Place Tip – LAUFEY

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Ms E Strempel

Will need some luck from wide alley but has Pike on board. Tends to get back and steam home as he did last when coming from 10th near turn for second to Kia Ora Star Ascot 1800m on May 15. Look for him late again.

Top 4 Tip – TOLLMAN

Jockey: Ms Jade Mcnaught | Trainer: P E Roberts

Three wins and six placing from 11 starts is a pretty tidy effort. Expect him to be a little more prominent than usual from his inside alley. Didn’t enjoy the best of luck when solid 4th to That’s Funny Az at her last start Ascot 1800m on May 9. Runner up at Ascot over 1600m previous two starts, Go well.

Belmont Race 7 Tips | 3:40 PM | 1600m

Top Tip – FESTIVAL MISS

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Grant & Alana Williams

Due for win and racing very consistently without a lot of luck. This is a deep race but has been knocking on the door with minor placings past three starts including a closing second to Laverrod Ascott 1400m two weeks ago, Right in this.

Place Tip – SON OF BACCHUS

Jockey: Craig Staples | Trainer: Rhys Radford

Grabbed victory on the line to tip out Bartrader Belmont 1600m May 23 and on the quick back-up here which is a good sign. May go on with now he has broken back into the winner’s list. Drawn to get cosy run.

Top 4 Tip – GATES OF BABYLON

Jockey: Mitchell Pateman | Trainer: Brett Pope

Looking to complete a hat-trick and racing in rare form. Won Ascot 1200m and 1400m back to back May 2 and 16 but had to share start win with She’s Alright. Well be leading or just off the pace and will be hailed winner at some stage in the straight.

Belmont Race 8 Tips | 4:15 PM | 1400m

Top Tip – THE VELVET KING

Jockey: Mitchell Pateman | Trainer: Darren McAuliffe

If you saw his Roma Cup run when he was pushed 3 and 4 deep last start and almost ran down the very smart Vega Magic Ascot 1200 May 16 you would want to back up here. That was first run in 160-odds days so should strip fitter. Is a two-time winner second-up.

Place Tip – GATTING

Jockey: Lucy Warwick | Trainer: Darren McAuliffe

Stablemate of The Velvet King. Has not won since September 2019 and did little when 9th to Vega Magic Roma Cup Ascot 1200m May 16. Prefer to on hi second to Regal Power previous start Ascot 2100m. Mixes his form and distances.

Top 4 Tip – FLIRTINI

Jockey: Joseph Azzopardi | Trainer: Simon Miller

Looks ready to win. Tidy 4th to Vega Magic Roma Cup Ascot 1200m May 16 after three successive placings. Just need the right run to breakthrough here.

Belmont Race 9 Tips | 4:50 PM | 2200m

Top Tip – PICTURE PERFECT

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Grant & Alana Williams

Could end a very good day for Pike and Williams. Tried hard when a sound second to Barramagic Belmont 2100m working home solidly. From this alley, Pike should be able to sum up the race in the middle stages and make his winning move.

Place Tip – DIVINE SHADOW

Jockey: Beau Bavanic-Edwards | Trainer: Brett Pope

Gets 3kg weight off and has barrier one. Has a win and 3 placings past four starts and must be considered on good third to Barramagic Belmont 1200m May 23. Won 1600m in March with Pike in the saddle.

Top 4 Tip – KIA ORA STAR

Jockey: Ms Kyra Yuill | Trainer: M L Lane

Latest run won by 0.5 length (wide early stages) Ascot 2yo+ (Rs1mw) May 16 over 1800m defeating Laufey carrying 60kg at $13. The start before that 2 of 16 at Ascot 2yo+ (Rs1mw) on May 2 over 1600m, head behind She’s Alight with 59kg at $12. Held them at bay last time and could go on with it now.
