Moonee Valley Race 1 Tips | 12:20 PM | 1200m

Top Tip – Crosshaven

Jockey: Daniel Stackhouse | Trainer: David & Ben Hayes & Tom Dabernig.

Was always traveling well and won its maiden on debut at Geelong May 15 in easy fashion running a quick last section. Could improve further and must be regarded highly.

Place Tip – Johnny Boss

Jockey: John Allen | Trainer: Ciaron Maher & David Eustace

Didn’t have much room late when unplaced at Caulfield May 30 at long odds. Drawn to settle closer and long odds again here. Well worth a bet.

Top 4 Tip – Jabali Ridge

Dropped out to last and stormed home when close up first up May 30 Caulfield. Is a second up winner and can settle up closer from barrier five. Same weight. Right in it.

Top Tip – Librate

Jockey: Damien Oliver | Trainer: Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr.

Was gallant in defeat when caught wide without cover all the way Caulfield May 30 and narrowly beaten by stablemate. Oliver jumps on here and will run the trip out strongly.

Place Tip – Smoke Bomb

Jockey: Jamie Kah | Trainer: Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr.

Was expected to lead when settled last and flopped Caulfield May 30. Drawn to lead and stack them up and give a bit of cheek in the straight.

Top 4 Tip – La Chevalee

Chasing a hat-trick after two heavy track wins in town. Has also won on dry ground. The challenge is to run out a strong 1600m which it tackles for the first time. Can settle up close. Each-way.

Top Tip – Holbien

Jockey: Lachlan King (a,2) | Trainer: Steve Richards

Carries big weights well as seen by good Flemington placing June 6 after settling closer to the lead. Has raced well at Moonee Valley without winning. On a seven day back up. Respect.

Place Tip – Kaplumpich

Jockey: Mark Zahra | Trainer: Keven Corstens

Settled a long way back and was doing its best late when placed Caulfield May 30 1400m. Likely to settle back again from wide draw but has won both its Moonee Valley starts and no problem with 1600m.

Top 4 Tip – Heavenly Emperor

Has worked up a decent winning strike rate and won lone start at this track and trip. Goes best second up which it is here. Handles wet and dry ground. Weight not a problem. Go well.

Moonee Valley Race 4 Tips | 2:15 PM | 1200m

Top Tip – Tavisan

Jockey: Ben Melham | Trainer: Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr.

Led and held them off Caulfield May 30 win in a similar race. Likes Moonee Valley having won at this trip here. Handles wet and dry ground and capable of leading all the way again.

Place Tip – Great Again

Jockey: Chris Caserta (a,1.5) | Trainer: Lindsey Smith

Worked up a good winning strike rate mostly at 1200m. Having its first start at Moonee Valley. Handles wet and dry ground and no problem with the weight after the Caserta claim. Goes in everything.

Top 4 Tip – Spirit of Aquada

Goes best at this track and distance and did well down the Flemington straight May 23 when placed at long odds. Drawn to settle midfield and finish off strongly.

Top Tip – Sansom

Likes to settle up front. Handles wet and dry ground. Was caught three wide without cover March 9 Morphettville and still won. Not seen since. Good fresh. Well drawn. Top chance.

Place Tip – Ms Catherine

Jockey: Georgina Cartwright (a,2) | Trainer: Henry Dwyer

Has won all three starts leading all the way twice at this trip here, Plenty of speed in this race. Yet to race on a track rated worse than Good. Goes in everything.

Top 4 Tip – Young Liam

Led and set a quick pace in front but kept going at Donald June 5. Well-bred and three of its past four starts in good fashion. Deserves a crack in town and can give plenty of cheek.

Only having its fourth start. Won its first two and didn’t get much room in the straight Caulfield May 30 1100m. Back up to 1200m suits and one at long odds who could surprise.

Place Tip – Paul’s Regret

Caught wide without cover when unplaced Caulfield May 30 but not far away. Its lone win was at this trip and track. Drawn to get cover here and Williams happy to stick with it.

Top 4 Tip – It’s Kind Of Magic

Won lone start at Moonee Valley in December when three wide no cover and kicked away. Back after a break when flopped Caulfield May 9 on a heavy track when backed. Is a second up winner and can bounce back on dryer ground here.

Top Tip – Plein Ciel

Really good first up placing at Flemington May 16 when back and wide and stormed home late. No problem with the weight and won three second up starts in the past. Best draw for a while. Go close.

Was first up when dragged back from a wide draw then blocked for runs in the straight Caulfield May 30 when had backing. Is a second up winner and Williams jumps aboard this time. Heavy track could be in its favour. Respect.

Likes to bowl along in front and yet to finish further back than second when contesting 1600m races. Placed lone start at this trip and track and Walker may be able to get away with a soft lead.

Caught wide throughout but nearly pulled it off when nabbed late Caulfield May 30. Drawn to get a cosy run this time and must be treated seriously in this.

Settles back and finishes off strongly in its races. Won with something in hand Caulfield May 30 and won lone start at this trip and track in a listed race during the spring. Must include.

Settled backed and blocked for a run up the Flemington straight when unplaced first up May 23. Flopped lone Moonee Valley start but at an unsuitable distance. Very good second up record and well draw.

Talented South Australian who has been most consistent in black-type races lately. Drawn to settle close to the lead and get the gun run and weighted okay after the King claim. Right in it.
