Belmont Race 1 Tips | 11:58 PM | 1000m

Top Tip – Continuance

Jockey: Paul Harvey | Trainer: Lindsay Smith

Has race experience on her side. Runner-up only two starts and should be well placed with Harvey on top. Raced on-pace when beaten less than a length behind Magical Dream Belmont 2-y-o 1000m June 24. Quick back up.

Place Tip – Born to Rule

Jockey: Clint-Johnson Porter | Trainer: Adam Durrant

Raced handy and let down nice in the straight to beat Continuance Belmont 1000m June 13. Goes up a few kgs but still hard to hold out.

Top 4 Tip – Billy Ain’t Silly

Jockey: Ms Jerry Noske | Trainer: Colin Webster

Good reports about this gelding after a couple of smart trial wins. Has excellent early speed and no surprise to see him make a winning debut here.

Belmont Race 2 Tips | 12:35 PM | 1300m

Top Tip – Windstorm

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Grant & Alana Williams

Worked a bit harder than expected but in the end was too strong for Nelsons Flight and Fire Maker Belmont 1300m June 13. Will go out a short-priced favourite again but should be too good for his rivals.

Place Tip – Military Ruler

Jockey: Mitchell Pateman | Trainer: Darren McAuliffe

Resumed from a long lay-off to finish third to Showmanship Belmont 1400m June 20 when race handy to the lead. Belmont 1300m 12 months ago before enforced lay-off.

Top 4 Tip – Nelson’s Flight

Jockey: Peter Knuckey | Trainer: Michael Morton

Chased Windstorm home Belmont 1300m June 13 but showed plenty of fight in the straight. Meets Windstorm a little better at the weights this time.

Belmont Race 3 Tips | 1:15 PM | 1400m

Top Tip – Position of Power

Jockey: Paul Harvey | Trainer: David Harrison

The awkward barrier is the main concern but fitter for three runs back from a spell and stepping up to a distance that should suit. Ran home well for second to Captain Kink (Bruce Almighty third) Belmont 1200m June 13. Has a win and three placings past six starts.

Place Tip – Zephyr Queen

Jockey: Ms Chloe Azzopardi | Trainer: Jim Taylor

Very consistent of late and from inside barrier should be parked on the speed or even leading. Couldn’t reel in the handy Western Pride last but solid 2nd Belmont 1300m June 6. Looks sure to get a gun run again.

Top 4 Tip – Beat the Bell

Jockey: Ms Beau Banovic-Edwards | Trainer: Ms S L Miller

Zoomed home (12th turn) last start over this course and distance for eye-catching win. This is not much harder but will need some breaks in running.

Belmont Race 4 Tips | 1:55 PM | 1400m

Top Tip – Bright Diamond

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Grant & Alana Williams

Failed to deliver when resuming and heavily backed and second to the front running Mood Swings Belmont 1200m June 6. Had won 3 of previous four starts and above average. Will make amends here.

Place Tip – Pukapunyal

Jockey: Clint Johnston-Porter | Trainer: Lindsey Smith

Above average filly who will cash in on any error Bright Diamond makes. Was a good second to Bright Diamond Belmont 1200m June 10. Will make a race of it.

Top 4 Tip – Levitate

Jockey: Chloe Azzopardi | Trainer: Simon Miller

Nothing wrong with his form and tried his heart out before finishing second to Indian Pacific (the handy Resortman third) Belmont 1300m June 13. Keep him under notice.

Belmont Race 5 Tips | 2:42 PM | 2000m

Top Tip – The Velvet King

Jockey: Mitchell Pateman | Trainer: Darren McAuliffe

Deserves a change of luck after minor placings past three starts. Beaten by Vega Magic and Diamond Jewel (twice) last three starts. Stepping up to 2000m here and may suit if Pateman can relax her in the run.

Place Tip – Perfect Jewel

Jockey: Patrick Carbery | Trainer: Adam Durant

Has run down The Velvet King last two starts and in super form to complete the hat-trick here. Worked home like a good horse over 1600m last start and is unbeaten in three runs this track.

Top 4 Tip – Mississippi Delta

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Grant & Alana Williams

Honest mare who will run a game race from handy draw. Ascot Perth Cup winner (2400m) in March and was warming up when third to Perfect Jewel and The Velvet King Belmont 1600m June 16. Strong chance.

Belmont Race 6 Tips | 3:20 PM | 1600m

Top Tip – Costa De Santo

Jockey: Mitchell Pateman | Trainer: Ms Jackie Panizza

Ultra-consistent and does look the one to beat here on strong recent showings in town. Followed win over Tollman in Belmont 1600m on May 30 with dogged 2nd to the smart Serenity Bay Belmont 1400m on June 13. Take beating here on those efforts.

Place Tip – Sublime Image

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Adam Durant

Has had the benefit of tone run back from a spell and should be primed to produce best form here. Won three straight (twice at Ascot) late last year before being turned out for a spell. Nice effort two starts back when 3rdto the smart Kay Cee Belmont barrier trial before resuming with 7th of 15 to Serenity Bay Belmont 1400m June 13.

Top 4 Tip – No Apology

Jockey: Shaun McGruddy | Trainer: Stephen Miller

Has been racing well in good company and a win would not surprise. Has good form around horses like Western Pride, Showmanship and Windstorm to recommend. Well beaten when third Power of St George over the Belmont metric mile on June 20.

Belmont Race 7 Tips | 3:50 PM | 1000m

Top Tip – Essential Spice

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Dan & Ben Pearce

Barrier one, William Pike, and a great Belmont record of 4 wins and 5 placings from 12 starts add up to this smart Gingerbread Man mare taking some catching. Wasn’t knocked about in recent trial warm-up and should be ready to go here. Won three in a row at Belmont last campaign.

Place Tip – Lockroy

Jockey: Jarrad Noske | Trainer: Chris Gangemi

Will be nice odds but not the worst in this field. Has not raced for more than 300 days but has a touch of class and ran 2nd to Smokey Barrell in Belmont 100m trial late last month. Beat Don’t Fuss and Rebel King Belmont 1000m August last year before spelling.

Top 4 Tip – Guns of Navarone

Jockey: Brad Parnham | Trainer: Nev Parnham

Kept fresh for this but will have to deal with a wide alley. On-pace runner and beat all but Hoboken in Belmont 100m dash May 30.

Belmont Race 8 Tips | 4:20 PM | 1000m

Top Tip – Devoted Star

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Grant & Alana Williams

Will need a bit of luck in running as she gets back but does has The Wizard on board. Given a spell after her 3rd to Beauty Canas and Oceans Fifteen Ascot 1200m March 14. Has ability.

Place Tip – Silkinize

Jockey: Paul Harvey | Trainer: David Harrison

This could be a Pike/Harvey quinella and both will be coming late in the straight. Harvey will need to find some clear running his this fellow who from an inside alley may get shuffled back. Winner 3 of his 6 starts and like his second to Profit Street in recent Lark Hill barrier trial over 1100m on June 2. Strong chance.

Top 4 Tip – Endovenera

Jockey: Clint-Johnston Porter | Trainer: Dan Miller

Won with authority last start easily beating Dolcity and Mr Blueboy Belmont 1000m June 10. This looks harder but clearly has ability and worth including among the main chances.

Belmont Race 9 Tips | 4:50 PM | 2100m

Top Tip – Roman Flirt

Jockey: Chris Parnham | Trainer: Dan & Ben Pearce

I must admit I am on the Roman Flirt Bandwagon as he has raced through the grades. This is his sternest test to date and will not have the services of William Pike who is committed to another stable. Likes his fourth straight win over 2000m at Pinjarra June 11 when doing best work at the finish.

Place Tip – Picture Perfect

Jockey: Laqdar Ramoly (3kg) | Trainer: Grant & Alana Williams

Good type from the Williams yard and two starts ago beat Divine Shadow and British Bessy over this course and distance on May 5. Will be in the finish here.

Top 4 Tip – Dark Choice

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Grant & Alana Williams

Good chance in an open race. Making ground nicely at the finish with 5th of 15 behind Noir de Rue Belmont 2000m June 13. Beat Divine Shadow over 1600m in April. Pike’s stable ride.
