Belmont Race 1 Tips | 11:23 AM | 1600m

Top Tip – Final Chill

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Kieran McDonagh

Gets chance to breakthrough in average Maiden field and does have Pike on top. Distance no concern after solid 2nd to Arrowsmith Northam 2200m June 18. Hard to tip with any confidence in ordinary field.

Place Tip – Just Under

Jockey: Ms Beau Banovic-Edwards | Trainer: Brett Pope

Looks the weighted runner with a t3kg claim for Banovic-Edwards. Followed second in Lark trial with last start 3rd to El Manhalo and Underachievers in Pinjarra 1400m Mdn on June 25. Came from well back so this trip should suit and backing up quickly.

Top 4 Tip – Spirited Lad

Jockey: Alan Kennedy | Trainer: C Willis

Raced only three times and last two finished just behind the placegetters when 4th Pinjarra Park Maidens on June 11 and 25. Has some ability and a win here would certainly not surprise.

Belmont Race 2 Tips | 11:58 AM | 1200m

Top Tip – Snickerdoodledandy

Jockey: Chris Parnham | Trainer: Daniel Morton

Rattle home (8th at 600m) when making debt for eye-catch third to Magical Dream and Continuance in Belmont Maiden over 1400m on June 24. Turned in two very good barrier trials prior to that and with race experience looks ready to break through with even luck in running. With this name, he should be able to gallop.

Place Tip – Surveillance

Jockey: Jason Brown | Trainer: Jim Taylor

Nicely bred Safeguard filly who has had to settle for second place in each of his two starts to date. Has had two recent Belmont barrier trials (4th both times) to prepare him. Not raced since good second to Gemma’s Sun in Pinjarra Park Magic Millions 1200m in February. Set for first-up win.

Top 4 Tip – Olden

Jockey: Jarrad Noske | Trainer: Daniel O’Connor

At bolters odds ($71) when nice debut third to Kissonallforcheeks Asoctt 1100m May 16. Should benefit from that outing and won’t be those odds this time out.

Belmont Race 3 Tips | 12:37 PM | 1200m

Top Tip – Wunderkind

Jockey: Chris Parham | Trainer: Neville Parnham

Moved nicely to win Belmont trial over 1000m June 22 after two nice trial runs over 400m. Looks to be well educated and from the inside gate should be close to the lead.

Place Tip – Mystery Man

Jockey: Jordan Turner | Trainer: Darren McAuliffe

One of several first starters but is nicely bred and showing ability on the track. Nice trial win at Belmont 1000m June 22. Any betting move would suggest he is ready to strike.

Top 4 Tip – Holyoake

Jockey: Ms Jade McNaught | Trainer: Brett Pope

Has Jade McNaught in the saddle, a lovely gate and race experience which are three pluses. Has to be included among the chance on solid 4th to Mystical View Belmont 1000m on June 24. Gets gun run.

Belmont Race 4 Tips | 1:17 PM | 1400m

Top Tip – Showmanship

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Grant & Alana Williams

Is taking all before him and building quite a reputation along the way. His only defeat in five career starts was when 4th to Samizdat Belmont 1200m in June last year. Has strolled home last three Belmont starts 1200-1440m. Take a power of beating again but won’t be at any fancy odds.

Place Tip – Not To Be Missed

Jockey: Clint Johnston-Porter | Trainer: A G Durrant

Very consistent galloper who was resuming when 2nd to Mankind Belmont 1200m June 13. Won three straight to end the 2019 season and is obviously smart. Pike, however, has jumped off to ride the more fancied Showmanship.

Top 4 Tip – Wrinkly

Jockey: Chris Parnham | Trainer: Neville Parnham

Game galloper who fought on gallantly when a close second to Mr’s Brown’s Boy Belmont 1600m on June 20 after honest 4th to Mankind Belmont 1200m June 13. Is weighted to his best here though and can’t see him giving a horse like Showmanship 8kgs.

Belmont Race 5 Tips | 1:53 PM | 1400m

Top Tip – Sowar

Jockey: Ms Jade McNaught | Trainer: Steve Wolfe

Willing to gamble of this Albany-trained Sepoy gelding to make the jump to city class on her excellent 2nd to Me ‘n’ Taz Northam 1300m June 18. Had a win and two seconds previous three so deserves a trip to the city.

Place Tip – Levitate

Jockey: Chloe Azzopardi | Trainer: Simon Miller

Looks the best galloper in the field but has to contend with awkward barrier draw. His 3rd to the smart Bright Diamond Belmont 1400m on June 27 would just about win this. Has run some excellent races in stronger company than this.

Top 4 Tip – Truly Great

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Grant & Alana Williams

Dundeel 4-y-o from the Williams yard resuming here. Has ability having won Ascot 1400m in March before being sent for a spell. Not knocked about by Pike when 2nd in recent Lark Hill trial. Has a wide barrier to contend with but will run a bold race.

Belmont Race 6 Tips | 2:33 PM | 1000m

Top Tip – Mood Swings

Jockey: Jordan Turner | Trainer: George Dupre

Pulled out too many guns for the odds-on favourite Bright Diamond when ridden aggressively Belmont 1200 June 20. Coming back in distance but winning form is always good form.

Place Tip – Boomtastic

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Simon Miller

Pike’s booking brings this Sessions filly into calculations and she is racing well having chased home Mood Swings and Bright Diamond Belmont 1200m June 20. Similar assignment here.

Top 4 Tip – Wine Night

Jockey: Peter Knuckey | Trainer: Justine Erkelen

Stepping up in class but stays under notice after beating Sweetassa over 100om at Belmont on June 17. Placed previous three starts so is racing well enough to get into a placing.

Belmont Race 7 Tips | 3:10 PM | 1200m

Top Tip – Indian Pacific

Jockey: Chris Parnham | Trainer: Neville Parnham

Hat-trick time for this free-going three-year-old. Held off the handy Levitate last start in all-the-way Belmont 1300m win on June 13. They won’t want to let this fellow have his own way in front.

Place Tip – Long Beach

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Grant & Alan Williams

I’m Invincible 3-y-o who has a stack of ability. Nice 2nd behind Vital Dancer in Lark Hill barrier trial June 15. Impressive winner Ascot 1200m in February before a spell. Has tricky alley but will be letting rip in the straight.

Top 4 Tip – Nerodio

Jockey: Jarrad Noske | Trainer: Stephanie Bakranich

Beat Stable Secret Belmont 1000m June 3 before send out favourite with 60kg and finishing 4th Belmont 1200m behind Captain Kirk on June 13. Jarrad Noske takes over this time.

Belmont Race 8 Tips | 3:45 PM | 2000m

Top Tip – Uncle Dick

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Lindsey Smith

Faces tougher test to date but continues to improve and show potential. Followed his Belmont debut win 1400m in May with Pinjarra 1500m victory on June 11 coming from a long way back on turn. Had little luck in running when beaten for the first time in his career by Rock’n’ruler Pinjarra 1600m June 25. Pike legs up this time.

Place Tip – No Apology

Jockey: Shaun McGruddy | Trainer: Simon Miller

Racing well and will be right in the thick things when the whips are cracking. Took control and led throughout to win Belmont 1600m similar class June 27. Placed previous two behind smart gallopers and now he has broken through may go on with it.

Top 4 Tip – Eurasia

Jockey: Paul Harvey | Trainer: S J Wolfe

Improved effort last start when 3rd to Chantrea and Ginger Flyer in Belmont 1700m June 24. Doesn’t have a quick turn of foot but Harvey’s booking is a major plus.

Belmont Race 9 Tips | 4:20 PM | 2000m

Top Tip – Kay Cee

Jockey: Steven Parnham | Trainer: Nev Parnham

Quality filly and hard to go past her on her striking recent form. Unbeaten past three starts and also two barrier trials and should finish over the top of her rivals. Beat Cambist and Laverrod last start Belmont 1600m and extra 400m plays right into her hands.

Place Tip – Chantrea

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Lindsey Smith

Unbeaten filly with four straight wins to her name and that makes her a serious danger if she can get the right run. Put her rivals away easily last start beating Ginger Flyer and Eurasia in Belmont 1700m June 24. There is so much to like about this Puissance de Lune filly but can she match motors with Kay Cee?

Top 4 Tip – Heaven’s Gift

Jockey: Jarrad Noske | Trainer: Holly Locke

This filly finished last in her first barrier trial and performed moderately in 8 more trials before her trainer finally sent her to the track. She has raced twice for two nice win the latest when she finished powerfully at Pinjarra over 1600m. Maybe worth an each-way ticket.

Belmont Race 10 Tips | 4:55 PM | 1600m

Top Tip – Serenity Bay

Jockey: William Pike | Trainer: Grant & Alana Williams

How odd tipping William Pike to win the last race of the day! Punters will load up on this gifted mare. Has won on her only two starts since resuming and working her way nicely through the grades. Stepped up to 1400m at Belmont June 14 to beat Costa De Santo June 13. Should relish another 200m.

Place Tip – Fred Dag

Jockey: Jason Whiting | Trainer: Bruce Watkins

No disgrace to be beaten by outstanding galloper in Showmanship (Military Ruler 3rd) Belmont 1400m June 20. Finished like he will appreciate this extra trip.

Top 4 Tip – King Blitz

Jockey: Laqdar Ramoly (3kg) | Trainer: Barry Newnham

Scored Ascot double including Diggers Cup over 1800m April 24 before finishing hard for 3rd to Mrs Brown’s Boys and Wrinkly in Belmont 1600m on June 20. Definite threat again.
