Doomben Race 1 Tips | 11:53 AM | 1200m

Top Tip – Boom Spender

Jockey: Taylor Marshall | Trainer: Desleigh Forster

Handy type who won this track in January. Failed first-up behind boom filly Kisukano 1200m Gold Coast QTIS Jewel in March then fought on strongly when raced on speed for 0.2 length 2nd Hancora Field 1200m Eagle Farm two weeks ago. Maps to be on the pace and fitter this time. Go close.

Place Tip – Acrobatic

Jockey: Mark Du Plessis | Trainer: Kelly Schweida

Should get a good run in behind the speed even though he led all the way in easy 2.8 length win over Booma Ranga 1200m Doomben July 8. That was only second start and first this campaign. Bound to be improved. One of the main threats.

Top 4 Tip – Mishani Fraudster

Jockey: James Orman | Trainer: Les Ross

Liked his effort two runs back when showed blistering early pace before scoring dominant 3.8 length win over Zayde 1000m Sunshine Coast heavy track last month. Led again since when faded late for 4.1 length 5th Kisukano 1000m Sunshine Coast heavy track July 11. Expect him to fire up and lead in this. Take running down.

Doomben Race 2 Tips | 12:28 PM | 1200m

Top Tip – Kisukano

Jockey: Alex Patis | Trainer: Michael Nolan

Boom filly with a lot of weight even with the claim for Patis. Easily beat subsequent Group 1 winner Rothfire 1200m Gold Coast QTIS Jewel in March. Made opposition look second rate when resumed with 2.75 length win over Fleet Dove 1000m Sunshine Coast heavy track July 11. Hard to go past in this but weight can stop a train.

Place Tip – Toorooloo

Jockey: Ryan Maloney | Trainer: David Vandyke

Came off easy barrier trial win to score impressive 3.3 length win over Winter Rain 1200m Doomben July 8 on debut. Bound to benefit from race experience and maps to get a good run in behind the speed. In astute Vandyke stable and has solid claims.

Top 4 Tip – Bellissimi Amici

Jockey: Adin Thompson | Trainer: Rob Heathcote

Well bred youngster who needed run when resumed with 3.2 length 6th behind Queen Sweeper 1110m Doomben soft track last month. Had good form last campaign with win and three placings previous four starts. Expected to get back and will be doing best late. Eachway.

Doomben Race 3 Tips | 1:03 PM | 1600m

Top Tip – Right Or Wrong

Jockey: Brad Stewart | Trainer: Lindsay Gough

Won first race in four years in 1200m Doomben Class 6 in May. Three runs since has been sound with placing 1350m Listed Chief De Beers Doomben last month before latest 1.4 length 4th Wren’s Day 1350m Ipswich Class 6 two weeks ago. Gets chance to win again here.

Place Tip – Gresham

Jockey: Ryan Maloney | Trainer: Chris Waller

Sent out favourite last time when sound 1.8 length 6th The Kingdom 1840m Eagle Farm July 4. That was big improvement after tailed off last behind Milk Man 1615m Doomben heavy track last month. Had been racing well previously and can handle wet if rain comes. Has strong claims.

Top 4 Tip – Prince Of Tie

Jockey: Jackson Murphy | Trainer: Kelly Schweida

Mixes his form but did good job last outing when sat off speed before edging out Fabulonh in photo 1400m Sunshine Coast heavy track July 11. That was sharp improvement after led and tired for 2.8 length 5th of 7 behind Solfie’s Gold Class 1200m Doomben heavy track last month. Could be worth following.

Doomben Race 4 Tips | 1:38 PM | 1200m

Top Tip – Elixir

Jockey: Leah Kilner | Trainer: Les Kelly

Useful type who has win, three placings past four runs. Liked his effort two runs back when hit line strongly to beat Solar Star by 1.8 length 1200m Eagle Farm July 4 then same throughout when beaten just over half a length for 3rd Wren’s Day 1350m Ipswich last week. Backing-up in a week is a test but looks to have strong claims.

Place Tip – Ditmas

Jockey: Brad Stewart | Trainer: Mel Eggleston

Stepping up to a more favourable distance following latest length 5th Tullio 1000m Sunshine Coast heavy track July 11. Showed what he is capable of previously with fast finishing length win over Mountbatten 1200m Gold Coast Class 6 in April. Maps to sit in behind speed and has solid claims.

Top 4 Tip – Light Up The Room

Jockey: Mark Du Plessis | Trainer: Tony Gollan

Capable mare on her day and can’t be dismissed in this. Backmarker who ran on well two runs back when 3.5 length 3rd Shijin 1350m Doomben June 10 then did best late when 3.2 length 4th Soxagon 1350m Doomben same class June 27. Freshened up for this. Treat with respect.

Doomben Race 5 Tips | 2:17 PM | 2000m

Top Tip – Tunero

Jockey: Robbie Fradd | Trainer: Toby & Trent Edmonds

Should get a gun run off a perfect draw and liked his effort last start when ran home full of running for 2.2 length 3rd Countess De Galvez 1650m Doomben July 8. Beaten 3 lengths by same horse previously 1666m Ipswich June 17. Tipping a big improvement this time.

Place Tip – Mangione

Jockey: Jackson Murphy | Trainer: Chris Waller

Hasn’t put a hoof wrong since coming north from Sydney with win,two placings from four. Worked to line strongly beaten half a length 3rd by The Kingdom 1840m Eagle Farm two runs back then beaten similar margin 3rd Barefoot 1666m Ipswich July 18. Right in this again.

Top 4 Tip – Speaking Bad

Jockey: Taylor Marshall | Trainer: Gary Duncan

Honest campaigner who has been up a while but has placed two of past three including 2.5 length 2nd 2200m Gold Coast last month before 0.6 length 4th Capeos 1600m Sunshine Coast July 19. Capable of another bold showing.

Doomben Race 6 Tips | 2:57 PM | 1050m

Top Tip – Tullio

Jockey: Jim Byrne | Trainer: Tony Gollan

Looks the pick of three Gollan acceptors and ideally suited from rails. Has won past three in wet including half length win 900m Gold Coast soft track June 26 and latest nose win over Musical Genius 1000m Sunshine Coast heavy track July 11. Looks big threat again.

Place Tip – Defence Missile

Jockey: Jim Orman | Trainer: Les Ross

Another who will be suited if rain comes. Came from midfield on turn latest effort for 1/2 length 4th Royal Witness 1000m Eagle Farm July 4. Previous form was only patchy but stable is in form and Orman is a key booking. One of the chances.

Top 4 Tip – Howwonderfullifeis

Jockey: TBA | Trainer: Tony Gollan

Has won two of last four and liked her effort two runs back when beat All Shiraz 1110m Doomben heavy track June 20. Sent out favourite when failed since but wasn’t far off them when 1.7 length 6th Bold Style 1000m Sunshine Coast heavy track last time out. Could easily measure up again.

Doomben Race 7 Tips | 3:37 PM | 1200m

Top Tip – Maozi

Jockey: Robbie Fradd | Trainer: Toby & Trent Edmonds

Up against a slick field of 3yo’s but has drawn perfectly. Won three runs back 1400m Gold Coast before finished fast 0.8 length 2nd Comand’n’conqueror 1400m Gold Coast May 29. Freshened since with latest 1.5 length 3rd Shijin 1350m Doomben heavy track June 20. Will give this a big shake.

Place Tip – Starla

Jockey: Mark Du Plessis | Trainer: Chris Waller

Sydney filly from top Waller stable. Narrow winner over Dream Circle 1300m Warwick Farm May 13 then sent north beating Wandabaa by 1.25 lengths 1350m Doomben 3yo last month. Doesn’t want any rain and market a sound guide. Eachway.

Top 4 Tip – Bold Hunter

Jockey: Ryan Wiggins | Trainer: Garnett Taylor

Fought on strongly when ran on for 0.3 length 3rd Bold Style 1000m Sunshine Coast heavy track July 11. That came off a strong half length 2nd to Fanaar 1200m Mackay June 30. Only lightly raced but has plenty of ability. Will be thereabouts.

Doomben Race 8 Tips | 4:13 PM | 1350m

Top Tip – Arthur In Charge

Jockey: Larry Cassidy | Trainer: Chris Munce

Looks the one on weights in this after carried 59.5kgs when 2.25 length 2nd Cloak 1400m Sunshine Coast heavy track July 11. Before was placed 1350m Doomben last month which was first run this area after winning impressively 1200m Newcastle in late May. Rates highly.

Place Tip – Alderman

Jockey: James Orman | Trainer: Lindsay Gough

Has a good strike rate with four wins from 14 starts and liked his win two runs back beating Westham by less than a length 1650m Doomben in February. Resumed since and will strip a lot fitter following 1.2 length 4th Leroytheconqueror 1200m Sunshine Coast heavy track July 11. Could measure up.

Top 4 Tip – She Za Boss

Jockey: Robbie Fradd | Trainer: Toby & Trend Edmonds

Has a wide gate but rates strong claims again in bid for hat-trick. Narrowly beat Got My Thrills 1350m Ipswich C3 two runs back then hit line strongly for 2.3 length win Yu Long Sheng Hui 1350m Doomben July 8. Don’t dismiss.

Doomben Race 9 Tips | 4:49 PM | 1600m

Jockey: Larry Cassidy | Trainer: Brian Wakefield

Racing well. Big effort storming home to beat Hail Manhattan by just under one length 1350m Doomben two runs back then came off trial win when fast finishing length 3rd Stuttering 1350m Ipswich July 18. Backing up and no surprise to see him turn tables on Stuttering.

Place Tip – Wapiti

Looks the likely leader in this following latest half length win over Knight Mariner 1600m Sunshine Coast G3 Winx Stakes July 11. Chased all the way before when runner-up to Cellarmaid 2030m Doomben soft track June 27. Looks to have a bright future. Hard to toss.

In good form and suited on wet track. Made good impression when ran on strongly to beat Quantico 1200m Eagle Farm two runs back then powered home for 0.8 length 2nd Stuttering 1350m Ipswich last week. Backing up in a week but has solid claims.
