A-League Betting Tips

Brisbane look to snap a four-match losing run against the struggling Victory when the two sides clash in A-League action on Wednesday night. Victory has recorded four consecutive wins over Brisbane heading into the clash at Bankwest Stadium.

It goes into the clash having suffered a 2-1 loss to Western United in its first game back following the coronavirus-enforced break and in interim head coach Grant Brebner’s first match at the helm. A-League Tipping – A-League Tips – Wednesday July 29

Melbourne Victory v Brisbane Roar

Bankwest Stadium | 7:30 PM AEST (AEST)

The Roar open as $2.40 favourites here, with Melbourne at $3.20 and the Draw at $3.30. Brisbane have had a decent season thus far, currently occupying a spot in the top 4 with 35 points.

One could argue that they’ve been fairly lucky at times this season, especially considering they’ve got a neutral goal difference. They looked rather poor in their return to action a fortnight ago, falling 1-0 to Adelaide United.

It has been far from an ideal season for the Melbourne Victory. They sit second from bottom with just 20 points from their 22 matches.

They’ve recorded only 5 wins on the season and have a -12-goal difference. They endured yet another defeat last time out, falling 2-1 to state rivals Western United.

Ultimately, I’ve got to give the edge to Brisbane here at a decent price of $2.40. Not only are they the more talented side, but they’ve got a definite motivational edge. 2-0 Brisbane at $11 looks like especially good value, especially with Melbourne’s offensive struggles this season.

I also like Brisbane Half-Time/Full-Time and to win to nil here.
