Belmont Race 1 Tips | 11:42 AM | 1000m
Top Tip – Ohsumi
Jockey: Mitchell Pateman | Trainer: Jason Pateman
Showed speed at first race start when runner-up to Warble Belmont 1000m July 18. Led into the straight and battled on strongly enough to suggest he will strip fitter here. Inside gate will assist.
Place Tip – Foxhood
Jockey: Laqdar Romoly | Trainer: Jim Taylor
Highly consistent and with 3kg claim gets in nicely. Has been runner-up last five starts including last start behind So Sway Belmont 1000m July 22. Races mostly at Esperance but could run a bold race.
Top 4 Tip – Uncanny Timing
Jockey: Troy Turner | Trainer: Colin Webster
Has started favourite last four starts without delivering the goods. Beat Dash Doll in Belmont barrier trial for maidens 1000m July 20 with a second to Amasenus inNorthan Mdn 1000m on July 30.
Belmont Race 2 Tips | 12:22 PM | 1200m
Top Tip – Pletto
Jockey: Jarrad Noske | Trainer: Ben & Daniel Pearce
Looks a smart customer. Heavily backed and overcame a few issues in the run finished very strongly to beat Saturday Sun Belmont 1200m July 29. Cam from 10th at the 600m and finished over the top of her rivals. Will be hard to hold out again.
Place Tip – Sea War
Jockey: Shaun McGrudy | Trainer: Steve Wolfe
War Chant gelding who comes into this with two wins from past three starts and has to be given solid chance. Too strong for Ay Tee Emm Belmont 1000m barrier trial August 3 and had two Albany wins from previous there starts. Each way.
Top 4 Tip – Bedouin Belle
Jockey: Jason Whiting | Trainer: Lou Luciani
Nothing wrong with last rd to Pearls and Prawns Belmont 1000m July 25 when raced off the speed. Prior to that was a nice third to Gunflint over the same course and distance on July 8. Fitter for two runs back from a spell and looms as a threat.
Belmont Race 3 Tips | 1:02 PM | 1400m
Top Tip – Queen Brown
Jockey: Chris Parnham | Trainer: Dan Morton
Winner 8 of 20 and ran home very well last start to win Belmont 1200 JUly 25 beating Chix Chatter and Chanpagne Diva, Relished racing in the blinkers second-up and will be right in the finish again.
Place Tip – Billy Ain’t Silly
Jockey: Ms Jerry Noske | Trainer: Col Webster
Looks a real threat and looked very good in leading throughout to beat Empire Reign and More Snitzel Belmont 1200m July 15. Has the one alley and hard to see him leading again. Will look the winner at some stage.
Top 4 Tip – Surveillance
Jockey: Pat Carberry | Trainer: Jim Taylor
Has been runner-up in 3 of 4 starts so knows how to get into the finish.Ran into a handy one when second to Snickledoodledandy Belmont 1400m on July 18. Raced handy last start and this is not overly strong. Will give a sight.
Belmont Race 4 Tips | 1:42 PM | 1400m
Top Tip – Massimo
Jockey: Clint-Johnstone-Porter | Trainer: Adam Durant
Hard to go past here on her last start second to Inspirational Girl (Serenity Bay third) in Belmont 1400 on July 25. Before that sat off the speed and proved too good for Majiniki Belmont 1200m July 18. That’s good enough form to take this out.
Place Tip – Wrinkly
Jockey: Brad Parnham | Trainer: Neville Parnham
Seven-year-old who usually puts in his best. Nice third to Showmanship and Not to be Mist Belmont 1400m July 4. He backed that up with nice win from Jeraft and Not To Be Mist Belmont 1600m July 18. Can win again.
Top 4 Tip – Jeraft
Jockey: Chris Parnham | Trainer: Neville Parnham
Has the right form to win this and is racing well enough. Form around is good. Was second to Wrinkly (Not to be Mist third)Belmont 1600m July 18 before downing Lordhelpmerun and Mankind Belmont 1600m August 1. Has solid enough claims here.
Belmont Race 5 Tips | 2:18 PM | 1600m
Top Tip – Fuhrer
Jockey: Mitchell Pateman | Trainer: Darren McAuliffe
Proved to good for Beat the Bro and Safety Bay Belmont 1700m July 22coming off a handy fifth to Cousin Ivan Belmont 2000m trip July 4. Won with some authority last start and may go on with it here.
Place Tip – Prince Turbo
Jockey: Clint Johnstone-Porter | Trainer: Jason Miller
Plenty to like about his last start 6th to Inspirational Girl when he came from a long way back in the field. A 7-y-old who has won 5 of his 19 starts and placed another six times. Don’t discount.
Top 4 Tip – Black Shadow
Jockey: Patrick Carberry | Trainer: Jim Miller
Fitter now for two runs back from a spell and should be ready to produce his best form. Nothing wrong with his last start 7th to Inspirational Girl Belmont 1400m July 25. Won two races at Ascot earlier this year and pay to keep safe.
Belmont Race 6 Tips | 3:00 PM | 1200m
Top Tip – Leading Girl
Jockey: Jarrad Noske | Trainer: Grant & Alana Williams
Nice type of mare with 50 per cent winning strike rate. Was second to Free Trade in Ascot 1200m before impressive win Belmont 1600m June 16. Nice alley and strong jockey add up to a bold run here.
Place Tip – Nerodio
Jockey: Clint Johnstone-Porter | Trainer: Stephanie Bakranich
Highly consistent galloper racing in good form and one of the main chances in tough race. Good winner Belmont 1000m June 3 and last start 2nd to Long Beach (Indian Pacific 3rd) Belmont 1200m July 4. That is good enough for to win this.
Top 4 Tip – Put A Spell On It
Jockey: Ms Madi Derrick | Trainer: Fred Kersley
Honest mare with 4 wins from her 11 outings. Excellent effort to beat Position of Power and Aberdeen Queen Belmont 1400m on July 25. Makes plenty of applea if she races up to that form here.
Belmont Race 7 Tips | 3:35 PM | 1000m
Top Tip – Pearls And Prawns
Jockey: Ben Paterson | Trainer: Brock Lewthwaite
A tidy effort last start when she led throughout and refused to surrender Belmont 1000m July 25. That followed a fighting second to Missing Pro Northam 1100m July 16. Back to 1000m here and will give a big sight.
Place Tip – We’ve Got Dreams
Jockey: Ms Kyra Yull | Trainer: Michael Lane
Looks hard to beat and racing in good heart. Three wins and two placings past five starts is the right form for this. Freshened up since third to Boomtastic Belmont 1000m July 18. Start before was good winner Belmont 1000m July 4. Nothing wrong with her claims.
Top 4 Tip – Money Matters
Jockey: Chris Johnston-Porter | Trainer: Adam Durant
Likely favourite and deserves to be on a strong recent form which includes four wins from past five starts. Has not started since winning Ascot 1600m February 29. Winner first-up, winner at the track and also over this distance. Has won 5 of her 9 starts. Smart.
Belmont Race 8 Tips | 4:10 PM | 1400m
Top Tip – Dark Mission
Jockey: Jarrod Noske | Trainer: Grant & Alana Williams
Zoffany mare with plenty of ability and looks hard to beat here. Was disappointing last start when odds-on favourite and 5th Lucky Linda Lulu in Belmont 1200m on Aug 1. Better to assess her chance on previous start win in Belmont 1200m where she finished powerfully to beat Red Bikini July 15. Well worth forgiving.
Place Tip – Tiff Has Spoken
Jockey: Alan Kennedy | Trainer: Sharon Miller
Returned to something like his form last when beat all but Captain Kirk Belmont 1300m July 25. Has not been out of the money past four starts and just needs the right run to be in the finish.
Top 4 Tip – Devoted Star
Jockey: Chris Parnham | Trainer: Grant & Alana Williams
Stablemate of our top tip Dark Mission. Last run 10th to Levitate was too bad to be true and prefer to rate her on nice win over Round the Point and Silkinize who franked the form last week over 1000m at Belmont on JUne 27. Each way.
Belmont Race 9 Tips | 4:50 PM | 2100m
Top Tip – Bombay Style
Jockey: Troy Turner | Trainer: Tiarnna Robinson
Someone one told me “when in doubt, go the topweight” so that is what I am doing here in a tough race. Bombay Rock is racing very well and represents value. Last start good 3rd to Montelina and Aconite Belmont 1600m on Aug 1. Prior to that won two straight at Belmont. Weight is a slight concern and has to also overcome a wide barrier.
Place Tip – Queen Takes King
Jockey: Jarrad Noske | Trainer: Lindsey Smith
The distance will suit this fellow who has sound enough claims on two recent Belmont wins, that latest over 2100m on July 29. winner two of three this track and 1-1 over the Belmont 2100m. Measures up
Top 4 Tip – Sowar
Jockey: Shaun McGrudy | Trainer: Steve Wolfe
Not the worst here by any means and will be right in the finish with an ounce of luck. Got home late and powerfully last start when 2nd to Queen Takes King after good third to Puckapunyal Belmont 1600m July 18. That form is good enough to salute here.
