Top Tip – Mrs O’Malley

Jockey: Lewis German (a,2) | Trainer: Enver Jusufovic.

Was doing its best work late when placed Sandown-Hillside 1600m Soft 7 when well backed behind Moscow Red. Can settle closer up in this field and can overpower them late.

Place Tip – Sovereign Award

Jockey: Damien Oliver | Trainer: Danny O’Brien.

Led and kicked to win Moonee Valley Aug 1 1600m Soft 5 with Oliver aboard and carrying 60kg. Same weight and jockey and drawn to dictate in front again. Most capable of a repeat

Top 4 Tip – Moscow Red

Jockey: Will Price (a,3) | Trainer: Henry Dwyer

Wasn’t too far away from Sovereign Award at Moonee Valley Aug 1 and getting a 2-1/2kg pull in weight after the Price claim. Handles all track conditions. Likely to settle back and finish hard late.

Caulfield Race 2 Tips | 12:45 PM | 1000m

Top Tip – A Good Yarn

Jockey: Jarrod Fry | Trainer: Mervyn McKenzie.

Likes to bowl along in front but has also won when settled off the pace. Handles big weights and all track conditions. Is racing well and gets a chance to win in town for the first time.

Place Tip – Propelle

Jockey: Jamie Kah | Trainer: Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra.

Has been consistent without winning lately. Gets in on the minimum weight and is best at 1000m. At peak fitness and can settle midfield from barrier two. Doesn’t want it too wet. Big chance.

Top 4 Tip – The Closer

Jockey: Lachlan Neindorf (a,2) | Trainer: Ciaron Maher and David Eustace.

Resuming. Spelled after contesting Gr.3 Frances Tressady Flemington Feb 29 1400m. Is a first-up winner but having its first start at 1000m. May find it too short but has the right field and wouldn’t rule it out

Caulfield Race 3 Tips | 1:20 PM | 1100m

Top Tip – Chassis

Jockey: Dwayne Dunn | Trainer: John Price.

Has been racing well. Won Caulfield July 25 Good 4 when finished hard late. Handles wet ground and is suited to the small field size giving it a chance to settle closer than usual. Still on the up. Can take this.

Place Tip – She’s A Thief

Jockey: Daniel Stackhouse | Trainer: Michael Moroney

Ran its rivals off their legs when it won Caulfield 1100m July 25 Good 4. Has won on wet ground but may be more effective on dry. Can lead and give them something to chase again.

Top 4 Tip – Acting

Jockey: Damien Oliver | Trainer: Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young.

Resuming. Won the Gr.2, Tranquil Star last September at Caulfield. May find this 1100m a bit sharp but has early speed and handles wet ground. Oliver steering is always a bonus. Class can carry it a long way.

Caulfield Race 4 Tips | 2:00 PM | 1600m

Top Tip – TOP TIP – Plein Ciel

Jockey: Damien Oliver | Trainer: Danny O’Brien.

has won four of six Caulfield starts and goes best at 1600m. Doesn’t want it too wet but has a fitness edge on some of the better horses in this field. Ollie on to help. Go close.

Place Tip – Exasperate

Jockey: Brian Higgins | Trainer: Matthew Brown.

Resuming. Is three out of three at its Caulfield 1600m starts. Handles wet and dry ground. Is yet to win first-up but stepping straight to this trip can help and not a lot of depth in this race. Right in it

Top 4 Tip – Naval Warfare

Jockey: Damian Lane | Trainer: Anthony and Sam Freedman.

Having its first start for this yard. Has won at this trip and first-up. Will probably be better with this under the belt but Lane is a significant jockey engagement and looking for a good showing fresh.

Caulfield Race 5 Tips | 2:40 PM | 1100m

Top Tip – Larimer Street

Jockey: Damien Oliver | Trainer: Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young.

Resuming. Placed in four of five starts and is a Listed race winner and Gr.2 placed. Handles wet and dry ground and certainly brings a touch of class to the race. Ollie has been in great form and can continue to shine.

Place Tip – Hydro Star

Jockey: Jamie Mott | Trainer: John McArdle

Very good on debut Sandown-Hillside July 22 1000m Soft7 when it powered to the line to win comfortably. Raced greenly and more depth in this field but the extra 100m will suit and is highly regarded by the stable.

Top 4 Tip – The Cruiser

Jockey: Arron Lynch | Trainer: Frankie Stockdale.

Was doing its best work late when placed on debut Moonee Valley Soft 5 Aug 1 1000m. Nicely drawn and the step up to 1100m looks most suitable at this stage. Has a fitness edge on many in this.

Caulfield Race 6 Tips | 3:20 PM | 1100m

Top Tip – Parlophone

Jockey: Damien Oliver | Trainer: Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr.

Made them look second rate when it won the Morphettville Listed Lightning Stakes 1050m Good 4 July 25 when very wide at the turn but powered away late. Has won on wet ground and its best looks to be still in front of it.

Place Tip – Agreeable

Jockey: Jye McNeil | Trainer: Anthony and Sam Freedman.

Was always traveling like the winner after settling near the tail and power away late Geelong May 29 Good4 1140m. Was immediately tipped out and kept for the spring. Has drawn well. Long odds but worth including.

Top 4 Tip – Icantoo

Jockey: Craig Williams | Trainer: Leon and Troy Corstens.

Well backed on debut at the Warrnambool carnival May 6 1100m Soft 7 when gave away a big start but won easily. Hasn’t been seen since. Craig Williams sticks with it. Chance at decent odds

Caulfield Race 7 Tips | 4:00 PM | 1200m

Top Tip – Age of Chivalry

Jockey: Damian Lane | Trainer: Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra.

Resuming. A dual Gr.1, placegetter at Caulfield. Is a first up winner and drawn to get a gun run on the speed from barrier one. Handles wet and dry ground and can give this a shake

Place Tip – Begood Toya Mother

Jockey: Declan Bates | Trainer: Daniel Bowman.

Resuming. Won the Gr.1 Rupert Clarke at this track last spring. Handles wet and dry ground. Is a dual first-up winner and can be ready to get back to its best here.

Top 4 Tip – Viridine

Jockey: Mark Zahra | Trainer: James Cummings.

Has been racing well including a Gr.3, Bletchingly Stakes 1200m Good4 Caulfield July 25 win when it railed through along the fence, No problems with wet ground and can carry the 62kg well. Has a fitness edge on some of these

Caulfield Race 8 Tips | 4:35 PM | 1400m

Top Tip – Cascadian

Jockey: Damien Oliver | Trainer: James Cummings

Didn’t have much luck in autumn races in Sydney including the Randwick Doncaster Hcp 1600m Apr 4. Is good first-up and likes wet ground. Likely to settle back and finish off strongly

Place Tip – Arcadia Queen

Jockey: Damian Lane | Trainer: Grant and Alana Williams.

Classy West Australian mare who hasn’t raced since November. Is undefeated first-up. Having its first try on wet ground but bred to be okay on it. Can settle in the top half dozen from barrier four. Top chance.

Jockey: Lachlan Neindorf (a,2) | Trainer: Lindsey Smith.

Resuming. Won the Gr.2, Autumn Classic at Caulfield back in February. Goes well fresh and yet to miss a place at 1400m. Placed at its lone wet track start. Well worth including.
