BROWNS VS BENGALS
FirstEnergy Stadium | 10:20am AEST (AEST)
Cincinnati narrowly missed an upset of the Los Angeles Chargers at home in Week 1 and the Browns were manhandled by the Ravens in Baltimore. The teams kick off Week 2 of the 2020 NFL season Thursday night in the 94th meeting of the franchises. The Bengals lead the all-time series 51-42. Signs of life from the Bengals emerged in Week 1 with rookie No. 1 pick Joe Burrow flashing confidence, athleticism and a connection with WR A.J. Green. But he was inconsistent and the Chargers kept heat on him with a strong pass rush. The Ravens blew up the Browns’ offensive line consistently in Week 1 and Cleveland’s bid to play more power football was a dud. Both teams are 0-1 and working to resolve early special teams issues. The Browns signed Cody Parkey to handle field goals and the Bengals were also looking at kickers after Randy Bullock (calf) was hurt on the potential game-winning FG try in Week 1. Joe Mixon had two big games last season against Baltimore, clearing 175 total yards in both meetings. Browns QB Baker Mayfield has 11 career TDs against the Bengals.
