BEARS VS VIKINGS
Soldier Field | 12:15pm AEDT
The Vikings will go for their third win in a row when they visit the Bears on Monday. Minnesota (3-5) is coming in hot thanks to the great play of running back Dalvin Cook, who has averaged 184.5 rushing yards in his last two contests. Cook has a whopping 858 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on the season, and his next rushing score will match a career high. The success of the running game has helped Minnesota to deal with inconsistent play from quarterback Kirk Cousins, who enters the prime-time matchup with a woeful 0-9 record in previous “Monday Night Football” showdowns. Chicago (5-4) started the season on a hot streak but has since lost three straight games. Head coach Matt Nagy acknowledged this week that he will hand play-calling duties to offensive coordinator Bill Lazor. Despite switching quarterbacks from Mitchell Trubisky to Nick Foles, the offense has continued to sputter, placing the burden on the Bears’ talented (but tired) defense. The Bears swept the season series against the Vikings in 2019 in a pair of low-scoring affairs. Chicago has a minus-12 point differential this season, while Minnesota is nearly the same at minus-17.
