Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones has been ruled out of Sunday’s game at the Los Angeles Chargers due to a hamstring injury, interim coach Raheem Morris announced Friday.
Sunday’s road contest will mark the fourth game this season Jones has missed.
Despite Jones’ absence, the Falcons remained 2-point favorites by BetRivers.com with the Chargers coming off a 45-0 home loss to the New England Patriots.
Morris said Friday the Falcons will determine at a later date whether to shut down Jones for the remainder of the season.
Jones, 31, had six receptions for 94 yards in the Falcons’ 21-16 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
The seven-time Pro Bowl selection and two-time first-team All-Pro has 51 catches for 771 yards and three touchdowns in nine games this season.
Jones has recorded 848 receptions for 12,896 yards and 60 touchdowns in 135 career games since being selected by the Falcons with the sixth overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft.
