The Tampa Bay Buccaneers activated outside linebacker Shaquil Barrett from the reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced Wednesday.

Barrett and fellow linebacker Devin White were placed on the list on New Year’s Day. Barrett is in line to return for Tampa Bay’s NFC wild-card game against the host Washington Football Team on Saturday.

Barrett, 28, has recorded 57 tackles, eight sacks and two forced fumbles while starting 15 games in 2020. He has 266 tackles, 41.5 sacks, 15 forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and one interception in 92 career games (46 starts) with the Denver Broncos (2014-18) and Tampa Bay.

White, who has a team-high 140 tackles, is still on the list.

The Buccaneers also signed linebacker Deone Bucannon to their practice squad and released guard Nick Leverett from their practice squad.

Bucannon, 28, has collected 434 tackles, seven forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries in 84 career games (57 starts) with the Arizona Cardinals (2014-18), New York Giants (2019) and Buccaneers.
